Welcome to A Venerable Puzzle! My name is Jason Loch, and I have a Master’s degree in history from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where I studied under Johann Sommerville, PhD (Cantab). My specialties were English ecclesiastical law in the early modern period (my MA thesis looked at how the royal supremacy affected the Convocation of Canterbury), and the development of the British constitution. My minor field was ancient history.
